Crimping & Assembly
There are instances in which a solid metallic assembly is not feasible due to the need to dampen vibration or to accommodate complex fluid circuit routing. Using only flexible hose with fittings can lead to unnecessarily high costs and lower reliability since hoses are typically high cost per foot than metallic tube, and too much flexibility in an assembly can cause wear leading to premature failure.
The solution is tube and hose assemblies that incorporate custom bent tubes and fittings with flexible hose for maximum durability and cost optimization. However, the joining of the metallic tube to the hose is one of the most common failure points in a fluid handling assembly, so working with a trusted manufacturer who specializes in this type of coupling is critical.
Stark Manufacturing’s crimping and assembly experience includes the manufacture of assemblies used in refrigerant circuits. This requires consideration of constant pressure cycling and air/gas mixtures. With emphasis on minimizing gas emissions and the flammability of concerns of newer refrigerants, the integrity of the tube and hose connection becomes even more critical. Stark can work with customers to develop and validate crimp designs to meet the most demanding applications from high pressure hydraulics to gas/liquid mixtures.
