Precision Forming

Precision tube forming, also commonly referred to as “end forming” is a cold forming process used to form the connection points of tubing assemblies. This process replaces weld, braze, or crimp on connections previously in fluid circuit assembly connection.

Forming tube ends when possible reduces assembly weight, reduces leak paths in the assembly, and reduces production costs. Stark Manufacturing has extensive experience in designing and manufacturing complex tube forming dies to create a variety of quick connect, hose connection, O-ring face seal (ORFS), JIC, and other shapes.

Extensive knowledge of material flow, cold working stress, and die maintenance is necessary to ensure assemblies can withstand the pressure cycles and vibration profiles present in harsh operating environments. Stark has validated its designs for millions of pressure cycles and punishing vibration tests.
